Co-marketing with Watson-Marlow

We at Adolf Kühner AG use Watson-Marlow pumps in our SB2500-Z bioreactor, which offers accurate control, efficiency and seamless integration with modern automation systems. This collaboration enables real-time monitoring and data-driven optimization, ensuring consistent quality and scalability in production.

The Watson-Marlow pumps provide optimal nutrient delivery and removal of culture media - critical factors for cell growth, especially in shear-sensitive cells. Its compatibility with advanced automation systems allows real-time, data-driven adjustments to improve process control, efficiency and yield. With PROFINET connectivity, the pumps integrate seamlessly into the Siemens system, minimizing hardware and cabling requirements. This advanced integration technology provides flexibility, cost-effective solutions and increases the overall efficiency of the bioreactor.

Our SB2500-Z is characterized by its user-friendly design, low maintenance and high reproducibility, making it ideal for large-scale biopharmaceutical and food production. Its ability to handle high-volume processes and its orbital shaking mechanism minimize shear stress and prevent bubble formation, making it well suited for culturing sensitive cells, which include mammalian, stem, plant and insect cells. This design eliminates the need for antifoam agents, simplifies processes and improves product quality.

From the SB10-X to the SB2500-Z, our bioreactor family offers streamlined scalability for biopharmaceutical production and ensures reliable conditions across all production processes. Our SB2500-Z is used by customers such as the Polish biopharmaceutical company Mabion SA for the GMP-compliant production of biosimilars and vaccines and has also played an important role in the production of the first protein-based COVID-19 vaccines. With its user-friendly design and low maintenance requirements, our SB2500-Z is a useful solution for scalable, high-quality bioprocesses.

Furthermore, the first cultivation in the food sector with our SB2500-Z was successfully completed. Stay tuned for our next newsletter to learn more about our SB2500-Z and its applications in the food sector!
