Additional information for cell culture applications

If your specific cell culture medium is not available in the “media OSMO” options, a good general guideline is to use 301 osmol/kg. The variation in osmolarity across different cell culture media is typically small, making this a reliable average.

When using CO₂ in your incubator, it is important to check the advanced settings and enter the correct new oxygen concentration.

New oxygen concentration:

  • 5% CO₂ atmosphere → Enter 0.199% O2 concentration
  • 8% CO₂ atmosphere → Enter 0.193%O2 concentration
