From consulting to support

We provide support and advice for each customer right from the start. We are a family owned and operated company and prefer the direct, face-to-face contact with our customers to build the long-term relationship. Your concerns and requests have the highest priority at Kuhner. We respond to inquiries promptly to ensure customer’s needs are met and minimize downtime. Services are performed by our technical service engineers on site. We support our customers in implementation, maintenance and repair of all Kuhner products – efficiently and competently. This includes machine upgrades - and software updates for all Kuhner shakers.

In addition, we offer comprehensive consultations for our products and accessories to ensure that you have the most optimal equipment for your culture processes. Based on our 70-year experience and partnership with research facilities, we can provide application-oriented support and training for our products. We offer customized solutions for unique applications and work according to GMP regulations.

5 year warranty

Service, service contracts, and calibration

We offer one-time services or service contracts extending over several years, depending on the customer’s needs.

We also perform preventative maintenance and equipment calibrations, (e.g. shaking frequency, temperature, CO2, etc) to ensure optimal performance. Your shakers and orbitally shaken bioreactor systems (OSB) can be calibrated according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations.

These services are performed by our trained service team personally on site.

Technical support and consultation

We are available by phone at any time during the day. You can also contact us round-the-clock via email or our contact form and we will return your call quickly. Kuhner is represented by subsidiaries and distributors around the world. Our employees and distribution partners in your home country enjoy taking care of your request personally.

Maintenance and spare parts

Maintenance work is performed worldwide and promptly at the customer’s premise. Depending on your needs, our service engineers will reach out for visitor guidelines and ship necessary spare parts before coming on site. Please contact us for more details.

Upgrades and retrofits of shaking machines

Shaking machines and orbitally shaken bioreactor systems (OSB) can be upgraded, retrofitted or modernized on demand. Please contact us for more details.

Customer-specific solutions

Does our existing range of products not meet your requirements? Please contact us. We would love to hear more about your distinct application. Tailor-made solutions are our business. We will work with you to create an optimal solution for your shaking machine or shaken bioreactor system (OSB).

Do you have an unconventional or self-made shaking vessel? Send us a prototype of your vessel and we will develop a clamp that fits.

Would you prefer to combine your measuring system with one of our shakers? Do you require a shaking machine with an unconventional feature? We will adapt our shakers to fit your needs.

Application-oriented consultation

In addition to our products, we offer a comprehensive consultation concerning cultivation in shaken bioreactors.

We have several in-house laboratories for application and long-term testing of our products. In these labs, we work with computer-based models, apply online measurement techniques or generate experimental data for our library. Thus, we are prepared for any questions regarding our products or cultivation in shaken bioreactors in general.  Thanks to our partnership with renowned research facilities, (e.g. Chair for Biochemical Engineering, RWTH Aachen University, GER) we can also offer solutions for complex cultivation problems.

Consultations are free of charge for our customers and of course confidential. For prospective customers, we offer an initial consultation free of charge.
